The Case d’Alto Farm came about from the desire to create products of "excellence" that are strongly linked to their home territory. To produce our extra virgin olive oil, we chose to use only green olives that are harvested early compared to "tradition".
The Case d’Alto Farm came about from the desire to create products of "excellence" that are strongly linked to their home territory. Our aim is to only produce when nature is on our side and the harvest is excellet, by putting in hard work, limiting our yield and employing olive growing techniques with a low environmental impact. To produce our extra virgin olive oil, we chose to use only green olives that are harvested early compared to "tradition". This results in lower yields but it increases the product's health benefits, making it a true elixir of life. We believe that a good mix of tradition and experimentation can bring our products to higher levels of quality and fill the local community with deep pride of belonging. Since 2018, all of our olive oil production has been certified Organic.
Case d'Alto is a family business created by Claudio De Luca in 2011 after a failed investment in renewable energies. On the land where we should have put panels, we decided to plant Ravece, an ancient monovarietal olive plant that has existed in Irpinia (Avellino) since the 1500s. This varietal makes an olive oil rich in vitamin E that is very famous for its scent of tomato leaf and artichoke.
Irpinia is a rural area with mountains, hills and green landscapes about an hour from Naples and the Amalfi Coast.
